She said: Let’s have dinner tonight.
I said: I miss you. See you tonight.
So we met at the Casa degli Artisti bistro at 6:30 pm.
Then we hugged each other for a very long time. We hadn’t seen each other since June.
Lorenzo came and welcomed us. Then we went to the bathroom to wash our hands.
Ross has the most elegant hands I have ever seen in my life. So I sat there and filmed her hands while she was washing them.

Then we went back to the bistro and ordered the same dish. We talked and talked and laughed. Lorenzo came over and shared a little dance with Ross. Then the food arrived. And suddenly, we were silent.
We simply enjoyed the dish that Adam, the chef, had prepared for us. It was literally food from heaven.

We ended our quiet dinner, and our organs thanked us for having treated them so well, nourishing them with food from heaven.
Then Ross ordered pistachio ice cream.

I asked Chef Adam to play Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide. Ross and I started dancing, since Casa was practically empty anyway. Then Chef Adam offered us fresh raspberries.

Then we gathered around the kitchen. On one side, Ross and I; on the other, Chef Adam and his assistants. And at a certain point, all of us started dancing.
Ross used the kitchen counter as if it were a ballet barre in a dance studio.

At some point, Adam asked who Ross was.
Just as I was about to begin my answer with the words “She is…”, Ross got ahead of me.
I AM WHAT I AM.
Then Ross put her backpack on the front of her body instead of on her back, saying she preferred it that way.
At the exit, we were treated to focaccia once again, and together we sang one more Fleetwood Mac song.
Then we left Casa. Ross ordered a taxi home through her app, while I continued cycling towards my own home.
I love her because she is what she is.
